ANZAC Day 2020

The Australian Embassy in Ireland has confirmed that the annual ANZAC Day dawn service for 2020 at Grangegorman Military Cemetery will not go ahead this year due to Covid 19 restrictions. They ask all of you to stay home and stay safe.
The Australian War Memorial in Canberra will live stream its ANZAC Day services on 25 April 05:00 (20:00 Friday 24 April Dublin time). The service can be viewed on the Australian War Memorial website (www.awm.gov.au), Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AWMemorial/) and its YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/AustWarMemorial).
ANZAC Day programming starts with The National Commemorative Service which will commence at 5.30am with the sounds of the didgeridoo from the Austalian War Memorial’s parapet, played in the stillness of the morning by Seaman Lynton Robbins, a Kamilaroi man of the Royal Australian Navy. Following this, the ANZAC Day Commemorative Address will be given by the Honourable Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of Australia.
