The Cavalry Corps is one of the oldest Corps in Óglaigh na hÉireann / Irish Defence Forces. Each year the troopers come together at the Cavalry Memorial Garden, DFTC, to honour and remember their deceased members and the sacrifices made at home and overseas. Cavalry Day is traditionally held on the first Saturday of September.
